Coconut Barfi Recipe using Milk Powder - Nariyal Barfi Recipe Milk Powder Burfi wali
Milk powder coconut barfi is a super yummy variation to the traditional and authentic recipe of coconut barfi prepared with mawa or khoya.
Ingredients
Milk powder – 1 cup (135 grams) (non-fat)
Desiccated coconut – 1 cup (80 grams)
Powdered sugar – ¾ cup (125 grams)
Milk – ¾ cup
Green cardamom – 6-7
Pistachios – 10-12
Unsalted butter – ¼ cup (55 grams)
Directions
Getting ready:
1.Thinly slice the pistachios and keep them in a bowl. Grind the green cardamom seeds into fine powder using mortar pestle.
Making:
2.Heat a pan with some butter. Add milk to the melted butter and mix thoroughly. Reduce the flame and add milk powder in small portions while stirring the mixture continuously. Further add powdered sugar in the pan once the mixture becomes smooth.
3.When the mixture becomes thick, add desiccated coconut and crushed green cardamom in the pan and mix everything really well. Cook the mixture on low flame by stirring continuously until it reaches the freezing consistency.
4.Later, turn off the flame and transfer the mixture on a greased plate. Spread evenly and sprinkle the pistachios on top and press them gently with the spoon. Refrigerate the mixture for an hour to set.
5. Cut the barfi into desired size chunks and slightly heat the plate from bottom so that the barfi gets separated easily. Transfer the barfi on a plate, milk powder coconut barfi is now ready to be served.
Serving:
6.Serve these finger-licking milk powder coconut barfi to your dear ones and relish eating. You can have these barfi on your fasting days as well.
